This week has been very busy for the BUES media center. Mrs. B could have her baby anytime, so we are working diligently to get as much done as possible before she goes on maternity leave. All of the books and materials that have been checked out by students and teachers are due back to the media center by next Friday. We have been completing inventory and preparing lists for teachers of overdue items. After Mrs. B has her baby, it will just be Mrs. T, our media clerk, and me to prepare the media center for the end of the year. I have a feeling that I will be busy in the weeks to come. Being given so much responsibility has been a great learning experience.

This week is Spring Break for the Douglas County School System. During the break I have been working on creating reports on Destiny for Mrs. B. When we get back from break, we are going to begin weeding different sections of the media center. I have become very familiar with Destiny and all that it has to offer. I also watched the webinar Media Literacy: 21st Century Skill All Students Need. The webinar discusses ways in which we can create critical thinkers and users of information while teaching the state standards.
